The Appendinator ("the app") helps teachers append feedback comments to Google Docs pulled from a Google Classroom assignment or a Drive folder they select, then optionally notify students via a Classroom announcement or an email.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google-issued identity token. When you use Google Classroom or Drive features, our backend makes calls to those Google APIs using an access token tied to your own Google account and the scopes you granted - we never act as you outside of the specific action you took in the app.
We store a minimal account record (your email, display name, and the ID of a Google Sheet we create for you if you use the Gradebook export feature). We do not store the text of feedback comments, student submission content, or your Google OAuth access token on our servers - your OAuth token lives only in your browser for the duration of your session and is cleared when you sign out or close the tab.
The Appendinator's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
